This year at Headfest, we’re celebrating something truly special right on our doorstep — Lough Corrib. For 2026, we’re delighted to partner with Corrib Beo to help curate an expanded programme of talks, walks, workshops, exhibitions and activities exploring the lake, its history, communities, wildlife and future.

Through this programme, we hope to give people of all ages an opportunity to learn more about Lough Corrib, connect with the stories and traditions surrounding it, and gain a deeper appreciation for one of the most important natural treasures in the west of Ireland.

From history talks and biodiversity walks to sustainable farming discussions, school workshops, guided boat trips and film screenings, there is something for everyone across the June Bank Holiday weekend.
